This charming row of traditional cottages lies within a beautiful small
private country estate enjoying a peaceful and quiet
situation in an area of outstanding natural beauty adjoining the National
Trust's
Trelissick Gardens.
Approached by a private drive shared with Penhale House, Penhale Cottages
occupy a sheltered hollow, are South facing, overlooking farmland, next to
Trelissick Gardens and a short walk to the sheltered creek.
They are in an attractive courtyard, originally the Coach House and Stable
Yard of the former Dower House to Trelissick. Each cottage is attractively
decorated and simply furnished with fitted carpets. They are fully equipped
with nightstore heaters, colour televisions, videos, microwaves, and open
fires. Wood is provided.
There is a garden, a shared laundry room with a Perspex roof which has
automatic washing machines and a tumbler dryer, and car parking in the
courtyard. We have also placed a ping pong table in the building by the
garage and each cottage has its own ping pong bats and balls.
We offer dinghy facilities by arrangement for those wanting to sail their
boats whilst staying at the cottages; bed linen (£4 per person) and
babysitting (by arrangement).
King Harry Ferry, nearby, gives access to the Roseland Peninsula, offering
good pubs, sea fishing and sandy beaches (with public toilets) ideal for all
ages.
The North coast offers excellent surfing and Loe Beach at Feock
offers adventure days for children and general watersports for all ages and
abilities. The cottages are ideally situated for those wishing to visit
the cornish gardens and those who enjoy cycling, sailing, golfing, tennis
and riding.
The climate in the immediate area is
sufficiently mild to allow pleasant Winter and Autumn holidays whilst the
many Spring Gardens with tropical plants make a holiday early in the year
most enjoyable.

COACHMANS COTTAGE
Downstairs there is living room with an open fire with television and video
recorder, and nightstore heater. The kitchen/diner has a fridge freezer,
microwave, cooker, dishwasher, a nightstore heater and there is a payphone.
There is as high chair.
Upstairs there are 2 double bedrooms: one with a double bed and one with
twin beds (3') and a cot. There is a nightstore heater on the landing and
the bathroom, with bath/shower, basin, and W.C., has an airing cupboard.
COURTYARD COTTAGE
Downstairs there is a large sitting room with an open fire and nightstore
heater and payphone. There is also a television and video recorder. The
spacious kitchen/diner, also with a nightstore heater, has a microwave,
cooker, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher and highchair.
Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms: one with a double bed; a small bedroom
next door with twin beds, (2'6”). The third bedroom has twin beds, (3') and
there is a cot in this room. The bathroom has a bath/shower, basin, wc and
airing cupboard. There is a nightstore heater on the landing.
